Fees for suppliers
Payout processing fees
When you withdraw earnings, a processing fee may be deducted depending on your chosen payout method. Each method (bank transfer, PayPal, Payoneer, and others) has its own fee structure, shown in My Payouts when you select a method.
Currency conversion fees
If your payout requires a currency conversion, a conversion spread applies. Smartcat uses current mid-market rates + 2.5% markup for currency conversions. See Understanding currency conversion on Smartcat for full details.
Intermediary bank fees
For international wire transfers, intermediary banks may deduct fees during the transfer. These typically range from $5 to $40 and are not controlled or reimbursed by Smartcat. See Why did I receive less money than expected? for more detail.
Smartcat platform commission
Smartcat does not deduct a platform commission from supplier earnings. Instead, a Marketplace commission is charged to the client on top of the freelancer's rate. The rate varies by subscription plan:
End Customers: 20% (ForeverFree), 10% (Starter), 0% (Team/Enterprise)
LSP customers: 10% for freelancers, 5% for vendors/agencies
Suppliers receive their full agreed rate. The only deductions from supplier payments are payout transaction fees (bank and payment processor charges), which are separate from the platform commission.
