Source Layout Step in Video Projects
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use Smartcat to translate, dub, and add subtitles to your videos. By the end of this guide, you'll be able to create a new project, add your video file, and set up a workflow for translation and review. Let's get started!
Step 1: Start a New Project
Start by clicking on the Translate Video, Audio, and Subtitles option in Smartcat.
Step 2: Enter Project Details
Next, you'll need to enter a project name. For this tutorial, we're using the name "Workspace Test".
Step 3: Set the Translation Language
Specify the original language of your video and the language you want to translate it into. In this case, we're translating from English to Spanish.
Step 4: Add Your Video File
Click to add your video file to the project, or drag & drop your files to upload.
Step 5: Add Additional Stages
If you wish, you can add additional stages to your project by clicking the Additional settings button.
Step 6: Choose a Workflow Template
For this tutorial, we're adding the Video and audio translation workflow template. This template includes a source review stage, so you can view the source file transcription before its automatically translated. This may already be enabled by default for you. If not, we recommend flipping it on.
Step 7: Create Your Project
Once you've set everything up, click on Create Project.
Step 8: Review the Workflow Stages
After your video has finished analyzing, you'll see different workflow stages. These include reviewing the source layout, an AI translation stage, and a human review stage.
