Overview

Not all subscription invoices are not currently available to download directly from your Smartcat account. Starter and Basic subscription billing is managed through Stripe's backend systems and is not exposed to end users in the Smartcat interface, while Rise, Unite, and Enterprise may be available through Stripe and Smartcat. If you can't find your subscription invoice in your workplace, contact your Smartcat representative to get a copy of your subscription invoice or view your payment schedule.

Invoices for one-off purchases (such as Smartwords top-ups) are available directly in your workspace.

How it works

Subscription billing architecture

Smartcat uses two separate billing systems:

Supplier payments: Payments to freelancers for completed work, with full visibility in Payments → Invoices

Subscription payments: Enterprise, Rise, and Unite subscription fees, which may be available in-platform, while Starter and Basic account invoices are not available.

Enterprise subscription payments are processed through Stripe. The system handles:

  • Checkout sessions for initial subscription purchases

  • Recurring payment processing via webhooks

  • Payment success/failure notifications

However, there is no customer-facing portal to view subscription billing details such as:

  • When your next payment is due

  • The amount of upcoming payments

  • Payment history for your subscription

What you can view in your account

The Payments section in Smartcat provides visibility into:

  • Jobs tab : Supplier payment jobs and their status

  • Invoices tab : Invoices for supplier payments and services purchases

  • Services Invoices : One-off purchases like Smartwords top-ups

Subscription billing information is not included in these views.

How to use it

Request subscription billing information

Since subscription billing details are not available in your Smartcat account, contact your Smartcat representative:

Option 1: Contact your Account Manager or Customer Success representative

  • Reach out to your dedicated Smartcat contact. They can provide invoice copies and payment schedule information

Option 2: Contact the billing team directly

  1. Send an email to ar@smartcat.ai

  2. Include your account email address and the invoice period or date you need

The billing team sends your invoice by return email, typically within 1-2 business days.

Option 3: Contact Smartcat Support

Send an email to support@smartcat.com with your account email address and the invoice period or date you need

Find a services invoice in your account

Services invoices (for Smartwords top-ups and other one-off purchases) are available directly in your workspace:

  1. Go to Payments in the sidebar

  2. Select Invoices

  3. Open the Services Invoices tab

Your services invoice history is available to view and download.

FAQs

Can I view my upcoming subscription payments or payment schedule?

No, subscription payment schedules are not currently visible in your Smartcat account. To get information about upcoming payments, contact your Account Manager or Customer Success representative.

I bought Smartwords but can't find the invoice. Where should I look?

Go to Payments → Invoices → Services Invoices in your workspace. Smartwords purchases are classified as services invoices, not subscription invoices, and are available for self-service download.
