Set up and use the Smartcat–inriver integration

Overview

The Smartcat–inriver integration connects your inriver product information management account with Smartcat so you can translate product content and sync it back to inriver. This guide covers the prerequisites, configuring the integration, and using it end to end.

Prerequisites

Before you set up the Smartcat–inriver integration, collect the following parameters:

  • inriver Base URL

  • inriver REST API key

inriver Base URL

You find the Base URL for your inriver account in your browser's address bar (for example, https://company-name.productmarketingcloud.com/).

inriver REST API key

  1. Log in to inriver Control Center using your administrative credentials

  2. On the Control Center start page, go to User Management

  3. Within User Management, find the section for API key management, where you can create, view, and manage your API keys

📌 The exact interface elements and their locations may vary depending on your inriver version and configuration.

You now have both the Base URL and the REST API key needed to configure the integration.

Configuring the integration

  1. In your Smartcat account, go to IntegrationsAdd new integration

  2. Find inriver and click Set up integration

  3. Name the integration and provide your inriver Base URL and inriver REST API key
