    • Auto-Split Segments in Subtitle Editor

    Auto-Split makes creating subtitles faster and easier. With just one click, it automatically breaks up your subtitles in the Subtitle Editor, saving you time, ensuring you meet platform rules, and providing better results for AI dubbing.

    Auto-Split saves you more than half the time, makes subtitles easier to read, and ensures everything follows your guidelines. If you're using AI dubbing, splitting subtitles by sentences helps the synthetic voice sound more natural and smooth.

    There are two segmentation modes:

    ◦ By parameters: Follows rules for characters per line and maximum lines per subtitle, so you always meet your client’s requirements.

    ◦ By sentences: Every sentence is turned into its own subtitle. This is best for dubbing projects.

    You also have the option to select CPS normalization and adjust how fast subtitles appear, so viewers aren’t rushed when reading. It may change the timing of your subtitles.

    Made a mistake? You can easily undo the last change if the auto-segmentation didn’t work as expected.

    Do you need different subtitle settings for each language in your project? No problem! Set specific rules for each language (such as Japanese), and it won’t impact the others.

    Parameters that were previously only reference values now directly influence segmentation.

    When to use each mode:

    • By parameters: for subtitle delivery, where platform limits matter.

    • By sentences: for dubbing, when aiming for natural rhythm and better AI voice quality.

    How to use Auto-Split:

    1. Create a new project for your video translation (choose “Translate video, audio, subtitles” or “Media translation agent”).

    2. Open the Subtitle Editor.

    1. Click the “Segment blocks” button.

    4. Choose how to segment your subtitles:

    • By parameters : Adjust the characters per line (CPL) and the maximum lines per subtitle.

    • By sentences : mode is simplified, parameters are disabled.

    For both options, you can choose to normalize CPS. This slows down subtitles that would otherwise move too quickly, which is helpful if your video doesn’t have a visible speaker and perfect timing isn’t needed.

    5. Click “ Split blocks.” Subtitles are segmented automatically.

    6. Review results. If unsatisfied, use “Undo last transformation” to revert.

    Now you can save time by preparing your subtitles at least 50% faster, while also ensuring better quality and full compliance with platform standards — no overlaps, no empty lines, just clean, professional results every time.
