Managers can now store additional information about projects, clients, and suppliers by adding custom fields. This will help you and your colleagues stay in the loop and make better project management decisions.
On top of that, you can access the information stored in your custom fields via Smartcat’s open API to build complex localization workflows. The sky’s the limit, really!

Better difference highlighting for Asian languages
Previously, we used spaces as word boundaries to show differences between translations in the Editor’s UI. This, however, didn’t make sense for languages like Japanese or Chinese that don’t use spaces.
As a result, even a tiny change would cause entire sentences to be crossed out and replaced with a new copy. Now for certain languages, we use a per-character diffing algorithm that shows precisely where the difference is.
